Paul Wray, RNc, Chief Clinical Officer

Paul has over 30 years of long-term care experience, and has led multiple large healthcare companies across several states. He is often heard to proclaim, “I learned a lot of my lessons from the patients themselves!”

Paul is the essence of a patient centered caregiver, bringing his compassion and natural sense of humor to each interaction. With this approachability he is able to connect with those he cares for. In leadership he brings this same passion for people to the daily interactions and decision-making. Through connection and compassion, he strives to understand others, seeking to develop them into their best version. Paul currently serves on the THCA Nurse Council and participates in building relationships and support to the Long Term Care Community.

Paul’s colorful past has brought him right to where he is. Learning to entertain, to teach, to care for others. All of this history has prepared him to be in a position of leadership. To be visionary and engaging, yet approachable. Focused on teaching, not telling. Responsible for the most vulnerable building his humility and understanding the strongest are the gentlest.

In Paul’s spare time he enjoys time with his wife, Suzanne of 21 years, and his 5 daughters. Paul states he enjoys the role of “Pappy” to his 4 grandchildren and all is centered around those 4. Family is Paul’s priority outside of work and a good day is a house full of his family’s laughter.
